Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Pawsibly Yours, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company (“Pawsibly Yours,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use the Pawsibly Yours mobile application (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and from third parties.
2a. Information You Provide Directly
We collect the following information when you create an account, complete the Quiz, submit a Rehome Support listing, or otherwise interact with the Services:
- Account information: your full name and email address;
- Quiz responses: your answers to the Adopter Lifestyle and Compatibility Quiz, including home type, fenced yard status, household composition (adults, children, other pets), daily schedule, activity level, dog experience, training patience, shedding and barking tolerance, size and age preferences, and bond style preferences;
- Profile content: photos or other content you upload to your account (“Your Content”);
- Rehome Support information: if you submit a Rehome Support (RePaw) listing, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, photo ID (for identity verification), a signed rehoming agreement, information about the dog (name, age, breed, microchip status, vaccination status, spay/neuter status, compatibility information, and medical or behavioral needs), your reason for rehoming, and your preferred contact method; and
- Communications: messages or requests you send to us, including support inquiries and CCPA rights requests.
2b. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we and our third-party service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and activity:
- Location data: we collect GPS location data and allow you to set a home location and search radius within the App. The App may recognize when you are located outside your home area and adjust results accordingly. Location data is collected when the App is in use;
- Usage and interaction data: pages viewed within the App, dogs swiped, favorites saved, quiz completion, and other in-app interactions, collected through Google Analytics and similar analytics tools; and
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
2c. Information from Third Parties
We receive information from the following third-party sources:
- Rescue Groups, Inc. and partner rescue databases: dog listing information, including dog name, breed, age, description, photos, and structured compatibility data (such as dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly, and house-trained flags) where available; and
- Apple App Store and Google Play Store: subscription status and billing confirmation (we do not receive your full payment card details).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate the Services, including creating and maintaining your account and displaying dog listings;
- To power the AI-powered compatibility matching system, including processing your Quiz responses to generate a compatibility profile, apply hard gating filters, calculate weighted compatibility scores, and rank available dogs in your results;
- To personalize your experience, including displaying AI Compatibility Notes to Premium subscribers explaining why a particular dog may be a strong match;
- To process Rehome Support listing submissions, including verifying your identity and reviewing your application;
- To send push notifications and marketing emails, including notifications when a favorited dog’s listing is removed and promotional communications from us (you may opt out of marketing emails at any time);
- To display advertising within the App and to share aggregated, anonymized demographic data with advertising partners;
- To analyze and improve the Services, including through Google Analytics;
- To enforce our Terms of Use, detect fraud, and protect the safety of our users and the integrity of the platform; and
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: we share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Services, including Google Analytics (analytics), Rescue Groups, Inc. (dog listing data), and Apple and Google (subscription billing). These vendors are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
- Advertising partners: we share aggregated, anonymized demographic information with advertisers for the purpose of displaying relevant ads within the App. We do not share your name, email address, or other personally identifiable information with advertisers.
- Rescue organizations and rehomers: if you click through to an adoption portal or contact a rescue organization through the Services, we may share basic account information necessary to initiate the adoption process.
- Rehome Support applicants: if you submit a Rehome Support listing that is approved, your listing information (excluding your photo ID) will be visible to other users of the Services.
- Legal compliance and safety: we may disclose your information if required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pawsibly Yours, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if Pawsibly Yours, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Location Data
We collect GPS location data when you use the App. You may set a home location and a search radius to control the geographic scope of your dog search results. The App may detect when you are outside your home area, which may affect the dogs displayed to you.
Location data is collected only while the App is in active use. We do not track your location in the background when the App is not open. You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings, but doing so may limit the functionality of the Services.
We do not share your precise GPS location with third parties, including advertisers. Location data is used solely to power the location-based search and matching features of the Services.
6. Cookies and Analytics
The App uses Google Analytics to collect usage and interaction data. Google Analytics uses device identifiers and similar tracking technologies to help us understand how users interact with the Services, including which features are used most frequently and how users navigate through the App.
You may opt out of Google Analytics data collection by using the Google Analytics opt-out tool available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Note that opting out of Google Analytics does not opt you out of all data collection within the App.
We do not use tracking cookies in a traditional web browser sense, as the Services are delivered primarily through a mobile application.
7. Push Notifications and Marketing Emails
We may send you push notifications through the App, including notifications when a dog you have favorited is no longer available. You may manage push notification preferences through your device settings.
We may also send you marketing emails about the Services, new features, and other updates. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at [email protected]. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional or account-related communications.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Certain anonymized or aggregated data derived from your account may be retained for analytics purposes.
- Rehome Support listing data, including your submitted photo ID and rehoming agreement, will be retained for a period necessary to comply with our legal obligations and to resolve any disputes arising from the listing, which may extend beyond account deletion.
- Log data and analytics data collected through Google Analytics is subject to Google’s data retention policies.
9. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information and requires notification under applicable law, we will notify you in accordance with our legal obligations.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 11. Your Choices and Rights
Regardless of your state of residence, you have the following choices with respect to your personal information:
- Account information: you may update your account information at any time through the App settings.
- Quiz responses: you may update your Quiz responses at any time. Updated responses will affect your compatibility profile and the dogs displayed to you going forward.
- Marketing emails: you may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
- Push notifications: you may manage push notification preferences through your device settings.
- Location data: you may revoke location permissions through your device settings, which may limit certain features.
- Account deletion: you may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Your personal data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days.
12. California Residents — CCPA Rights
If you are a resident of California, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, “CCPA”). This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents.

12b. Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you, through account creation, the Quiz, Rehome Support submissions, and communications with us;
- Automatically, through your use of the App (Google Analytics, GPS); and
- From third parties, including Rescue Groups, Inc. (dog listing data) and Apple and Google (subscription confirmation).
12c. Disclosure of Personal Information
In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed personal information to the following categories of recipients for the following business purposes:
- Google Analytics: internet/electronic network activity data and device information, for analytics and service improvement;
- Advertising partners: aggregated, anonymized demographic data only, for advertising delivery; and
- Apple and Google: subscription status data, for billing and account management.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
12d. Your CCPA Rights
Subject to applicable law and certain exceptions, California residents have the following rights:
- Right to Know (Access): You may request that we disclose (a) the categories of personal information we have collected about you; (b) the categories of sources from which we collected it; (c) the business or commercial purpose for collecting it; (d) the categories of third parties with whom we share it; and (e) the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you. Certain exceptions apply, including information we are required to retain by law or that is necessary to complete a transaction you have requested.
- Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information and do not share it in a manner that constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA. If our practices change, we will update this section and provide a Do Not Sell or Share link as required.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We collect government-issued photo ID only from Rehome Support applicants and use it solely for identity verification. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted under the CCPA.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide you a different level of quality of service because you exercise your CCPA rights.
12e. How to Submit a CCPA Request
To submit a CCPA rights request, please contact us by:

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days of receipt, unless we require additional time, in which case we will notify you of the extension. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. Verification may include asking you to confirm information associated with your account.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. To use an authorized agent, the agent must provide written authorization signed by you, and we may verify your identity directly with you to confirm the request.
You may submit up to two requests per 12-month period free of charge. If requests are excessive or unfounded, we may charge a reasonable fee or decline to respond, with notice.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services connect you to third-party adoption portals and rescue organization websites. When you leave the App and interact with a third-party site or service, your activity is governed by that party’s privacy policy, not this one. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
The Services also integrate with the following third-party services whose privacy practices are described in their own privacy policies:

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent in-app notice. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
